Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate Forklifts. Responsible for safe operation of equipment

Using safe lifting techniques, efficiently sorting, handling, loading and unloading freight to/from containers

Using pallet jacks and forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management as business needs dictate

Adhere to all safety rules, policies and guidelines

Maintains compliance with all applicable laws/rules/regulations on a federal, state, agency, and municipal level

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required

1-2 years of Heavy Forklift experience

Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and basic repair

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to maintain a high level of concentration over extended periods of time

Mechanical ability and experience

Experience, agility and ability to work in small or congested spaces

Resilient energy - endurance - maintaining physical strength for a long period of time
