JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Aiken, SC (Savannah River Site)
REPORTS TO: Program Manager/Site Lead
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Administrative Assistant provides on-site administrative and operational support to project teams at the Savannah River Site. This role ensures efficient day-to-day office operations, supports project documentation and compliance requirements, and serves as a key coordination point between site personnel, leadership, and support functions.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide administrative support to site leadership and project teams, including scheduling, document preparation, and coordination of meetings and site activities
- Maintain accurate project documentation, filing systems, and records in accordance with federal and site-specific requirements
- Coordinate onboarding logistics for new personnel, including badging, site access, and required documentation
- Support timekeeping, expense tracking, and general administrative reporting for site personnel
- Interface with internal departments (HR, Finance, Contracts, IT) to ensure timely support of site needs
- Assist with procurement requests, material tracking, and coordination with vendors as needed
- Support compliance efforts by maintaining organized records and assisting with audit readiness
- Provide general office support including answering phones, managing correspondence, and coordinating travel as needed
- Perform additional duties as required to support site operations and project success
What You’ll Bring:
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2–5 years of administrative or office support experience, preferably in a construction, industrial, or government environment
- > 3 Years
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience supporting federal projects or working on secured sites
- Familiarity with document control, project coordination, or compliance environments
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
