Job Summary:
We are looking for a part-time Assistant to assist with daily administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, professional, have excellent customer service and phone skills, be able to handle a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion. In addition, the ideal Assistant will work closely assisting the owner. The owner is hands-on with all aspects of the business and needs someone who can switch gears quickly. The work will be both independent and collaborative with another part-time assistant. We are looking for a Thursday & Friday, 8-hour-a-day schedule with opportunities for more shifts to exchange with co-worker for time off. The office is located in beautiful downtown SLO.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Serves as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors and applicants. Assists with payables and receivables through Quickbooks. Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters. Assists with marketing and promotional material, including on social media. Prepares letters, invoices, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions. Sorts incoming mail and delivers to appropriate department or individual; processes outgoing mail. Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically. Assist Care hiring applicants. Run errands or deliver materials with additional mileage paid. Manages calendars and schedules appointments. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Understanding of HIPPA and HIPPA compliance. Technological proficiency in copiers, computers, iPads, cloud-based software, Microsoft and Google Suite's. Ability to problem-solve and take initiative.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency with Canva and social media marketing. Comfortability with invoicing and Quickbooks. Experience screening and hiring potential employees.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
