    Job description:

    About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Assistant Operations Manager to support and oversee daily operations within our septic division. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, learns quickly, and is eager to grow into a leadership position within an established and reputable company.

The Assistant Operations Manager will help coordinate service schedules, communicate with clients and county officials, and ensure that all administrative and operational processes run efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

Assist with the daily scheduling and coordination of septic pump-outs, repairs, and inspections.

Communicate directly with customers, real estate agents, and county officials to ensure services are completed efficiently and professionally.

Coordinate with the County Health Department to obtain required septic permits, submit documentation, and verify regulatory compliance.

Schedule and manage real estate septic inspections, ensuring that all required templates, forms, and contracts are properly filled out and submitted.

Maintain and update internal databases for scheduled services, collect payments, and inspection reports.

Monitor job progress and assist with logistics to ensure daily operational efficiency.

Take initiative to learn all aspects of septic service operations and assist wherever needed.

    Qualifications

Previous experience in septic services, construction, utilities, or related operations preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software.

Familiarity with permitting, inspection, or environmental health processes a plus.

Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.

    Compensation & Evaluation Policy

All new employees begin with a two-month evaluation period during which performance, reliability, and initiative will be closely assessed.

Employees who demonstrate strong management ability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive work ethic will be eligible for a significant pay increase upon successful completion of the evaluation period. Compensation details will be discussed privately and can be formalized in writing to confirm this commitment.

Please note that starting pay will not be at a managerial or supervisory level. Pay increases are based strictly on demonstrated performance, not prior claims of experience.

If it becomes clear within the first two weeks that the position is not a good fit, the employee will receive one opportunity to improve. If improvement is not shown, employment will end at that time.

We value honesty, accountability, and transparency — no false promises or hidden expectations. This position is ideal for an individual who wants to grow within a reputable family-owned company and be rewarded for dependability and results.
