    About Guitar Shed**

    Guitar Shed is a modern music school in Atlanta dedicated to fostering creativity, community, and lifelong musicianship. We offer private lessons, group ensembles, early childhood classes, and large-scale events that bring students, families, and teachers together through music.

    We're looking for an organized, proactive, and personable Administrative Assistant to join our front desk team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking in a fast-paced, creative environment and supporting both students and staff.

    Responsibilities

    Front Desk & Customer Service

    • Greet and assist students, families, and visitors with warmth and professionalism

    • Manage student check-ins, cancellations, and schedule changes

    • Answer phones, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and accurately

    • Assist new families with registration and lesson sign-ups

    Administrative Support

    • Monitor and manage scheduling software (Opus) throughout the day

    • Process payments and maintain accurate student and teacher records

    • Support marketing and communications tasks (social media posts, email drafts, signage)

    • Help coordinate recitals, events, and community initiatives

    Team Collaboration

    • Communicate regularly with teachers and management about daily updates

    • Maintain an organized, welcoming studio environment

    • Contribute to improving systems and overall student experience

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and organization skills

    • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

    • Tech-savvy: comfortable with Google Workspace, Opus (or similar scheduling software), and light social media posting

    • Customer service experience preferred (especially in education, retail, or hospitality)

    • Ability to multitask calmly in a lively environment

    • Interest in music or arts education a plus

    Schedule & Compensation

    • Required shift: Sundays, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

    • Additional shifts available during the week based on need and availability

    • Hourly pay commensurate with experience
