Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated administrative assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a well organized, detail- oriented administrative professional who can provide excellent customer service to clients who may be in trauma or crisis. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team organizing information, scheduling and providing broad administrative support to meet the needs of clients and families, including initial client contact. This position operates under a contract with Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health and staff must meet both County and organization requirements.

About the Position:
The current opening supports a multidisciplinary team that provides mental health services. The selected candidate will be an initial point of contact, providing scheduling, intake, processing referrals, and explaining the services offered in both our outpatient clinic and our Housing Supportive Services contract. The contract’s program goal is to assist tenants with maintaining their housing and assist with decreasing the use of acute psychiatric services, incarceration, justice and child welfare involvement, homelessness, co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues, education problems, and other risky behaviors. Equivalent to High School Diploma or GED.
One (1) year of experience in customer service, reception, medical records, or general office support.
Experience with Medi-Cal population preferred.
License or Certification
Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within three months of hire and maintain while employed.
Special Requirements
Successfully complete reference checks and background investigation to include Live Scan Fingerprinting;
Meet qualifications to participate in a Short-Doyle program;
Some positions require meeting County of Fresno qualifications as bilingual in Spanish, Hmong or other languages designated by the County;
Must successfully complete all required agency training indicated for this position.
