    About NAPPO

    The North American Plant Protection Organization (NAPPO) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization that provides a forum for the public and private sectors in Canada, the United States, and Mexico to collaborate on the regional protection of agriculture, forests, other plant resources, and the environment, while facilitating safe trade.

    Position Description

    NAPPO is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the organization's administrative operations. In this position, the candidate is expected to manage day-to-day operations, including answering phone calls and emails from stakeholders, handling bookkeeping and payroll, and providing financial reports and budgets to the Executive Committee.

    The NAPPO office is located on the Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University (NCSU) in Raleigh, North Carolina. The candidate is required to work on-site, with flexibility for some justifiable remote work.

    Responsibilities

    · Handle stakeholder inquiries, directing calls and messages to the appropriate resources in a professional and respectful manner.

    · Input day-to-day financial transactions into QuickBooks (accounting software) and generate clear, professional financial reports and budgets, as required.

    · Pay invoices in a timely manner.

    · Manage personnel payroll-related tasks for NAPPO.

    · Keep the accounting activities organized and up to date.

    · Assist in organizing NAPPO events, such as the annual meeting, and in participant registration and other conference activities, as needed.

    Required qualifications

    · U.S. citizenship required

    · Proficiency using QuickBooks

    · Familiar with the use of Microsoft software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    · Technical degree in Administration or related careers.

    · Minimum of 3 years of experience working with accounting and administrative duties.

    · Experience in creating professional financial reports and budgets.

    · Excellent interpersonal skills.

    · Fluent in English and working proficiency in Spanish.

    Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance (health, dental, and vision) for the candidate and 90% coverage for the spouse's health insurance, if applicable.
