    Overview

    North American Wave Engine Corporation is a fast-growing Aerospace & Defense company seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor.

    This role is hybrid and requires a commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility on daily scheduling, provided tasks and deadlines are met.

    Key Responsibilities

    As a 1099 Administrative Assistant, you will manage various administrative and operational tasks, including:

    Email and Calendar Management: Monitor and organize company inboxes, schedule appointments, and manage the owner/team calendar (e.g., Google Calendar, Outlook).

    Document Preparation: Create, edit, and format professional documents, presentations, and reports using Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

    Data Entry and Organization: Maintain and update client databases, spreadsheets, and file management systems (e.g., cloud storage).

    Light Bookkeeping Support: Assist with expense tracking, invoice generation, and reconciling receipts.

    Light logistical/warehouse support: Assist with shipping/receiving; shop floor management and additional logistical support.

    Communication: Serve as a virtual point of contact, handling routine correspondence and coordinating internal and external meetings.

    Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide support for special projects as needed, which may include light research or process documentation.

    Required Qualifications

    Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years of administrative, executive, or virtual assistant experience.

    Technical Proficiency: Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

    Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Contractor Status: Must understand and agree to the responsibilities of a 1099 Independent Contractor, including handling your own taxes (self-employment tax).
