Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: City of Norfolk, VA
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (32 hours/week)
Job Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations with a strong focus on accurate data entry and confidentiality. This is a part-time, weekday position.
Responsibilities
- Enter personal customer information into databases from forms and spreadsheets.
- Accurately enter data into the appropriate fields within various software programs.
- Review data for errors and report any unusual findings to management.
- Verify that all required information is complete before entering data into software programs.
- Follow privacy guidelines as required by state and federal law.
- Occasionally file documents and folders.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to maintain the strictest confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- At least 2 years of data entry experience or related office experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
- Comfortable using office equipment including a computer, telephone, scanner, calculator, and photocopier.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Analytical thinking skills.
