    Likely Moving to: 100 Matawan Road, Matawan, NJ 07747 (Sept / Oct)

    Position Type: Full-Time, IN-OFFICE (not remote)

    Compensation: $23.00 per hour

    About the Role

    The Federal Appeals Firm is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support our team in managing Social Security disability federal court appeals. This role provides essential administrative and case management assistance to our legal staff and paralegals. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and interested in working in a fast-paced legal environment, we encourage you to apply. The anticipated start date is immediate.

    The law firm is currently located in East Brunswick, NJ. The law firm is expecting to move to Matawan, NJ, in September or October. A hired candidate will start the position in East Brunswick, but will then transition to the new office in Matawan.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the law firm with Verification checks of A.I. assisted output

    Use Westlaw to look up and Verify case citations, quotations, and legal holdings of law that is referenced in legal briefs as part of the aforementioned verification checks

    Support legal staff and paralegals with preparing and formatting court documents and filings

    Assist with electronic filing and service of pleadings and motions

    Maintain and organize case files with accuracy and consistency

    Communicate with clients regarding case updates, documentation, and scheduling

    Perform administrative tasks including data entry, scanning, and document organization

    Coordinate with external vendors and courts as needed

    Perform any other tasks needed by the firm

    Qualifications

    Prior administrative or legal support experience preferred, but not required

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

    Ability to handle confidential materials professionally

    Team player with a willingness to learn and grow

    Westlaw proficiency is useful, but we can train

    Schedule & Compensation

    Full-time: Monday–Friday

    $23.00 per hour
