    The Goddard School® located at 10622 E Northwest Highway Dallas, TX 75238 is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team! At our School, we put our teachers first because they put our students first. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and education-focused Administrative Assistant who is also a capable teacher with classroom experience. This unique role is split between administrative support for school operations and hands-on classroom coverage. The ideal candidate thrives in a dual-capacity environment—able to manage office tasks with efficiency while stepping confidently into classrooms to support teachers and engage children when needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff

    Manage phone calls, emails, and correspondence with professionalism and care

    Maintain student records, attendance logs, and family accounts in the school management system

    Assist with tuition billing, payment processing, and financial record-keeping

    Support the Director and faculty with scheduling, ordering supplies, and organizing school events

    Help maintain licensing compliance, staff training records, and health and safety documentation

    Serve as a reliable substitute teacher across age groups (infants through Pre-K) when teachers are absent or during breaks

    Implement lesson plans and maintain classroom routines in accordance with Goddard’s educational philosophy

    Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities that support social, emotional, and academic growth

    Assist in classroom preparation, material organization, and maintaining a clean, safe environment

    Collaborate with teaching teams to support curriculum goals and child assessment processes

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma required

    Empathy and compassion for young children

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children

    Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
