Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to a department or division. This role is responsible for coordinating clerical functions, supporting financial and procurement processes, and ensuring efficient day-to-day office operations.
The Administrative Coordinator will manage scheduling, communications, reporting, and system coordination while serving as a key point of contact for internal teams and the public. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in administrative support, office management, or customer service roles
- Experience coordinating schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
- Experience preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and documentation
- Experience supporting accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, or procurement processes
- Experience working with databases, payroll systems, or work order systems
- Ability to coordinate multiple administrative functions across a department
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and detailed administrative reports
Experience Preferences
- Experience working in government or public sector environments
- Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor coordination, and budget tracking
- Experience supporting multiple teams or departments
- Prior experience leading or supervising administrative staff
