Rate: $36/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)
Conversion Base Salary: $76,478.48
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST
Hours: 40 hours/week (Overtime available)

Job Summary
AZDES Office of Inspector General is seeking an experienced Administrative Law Judge (Specialist) to conduct administrative hearings related to social services programs. This is a contract-to-hire, fully remote role with long-term potential.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct administrative hearings (in person or telephonic)
Ask questions, manage the hearing process, and maintain official records
Make evidentiary rulings and control the course of hearings
Perform legal research and issue legally sound decisions
Provide guidance to parties regarding hearing procedures
Investigate and respond to customer complaints
Follow up to ensure hearing decisions are properly implemented
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree – Mandatory
⚠️ Candidates without a JD degree will be automatically rejected
Strong legal research and decision-writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting administrative hearings, especially within social services or public sector environments
