    Job Description

    The Administrative Specialist, Station Operations plays a vital role in supporting operational efficiency and team member experience at the station. This position is responsible for assisting in various administrative functions, including attendance and discipline tracking, badge and security processes, station event planning, and recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality, while supporting a culture that aligns with McGee’s values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability, and Pride.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with attendance and discipline reporting and tracking.
    • Assist with issuing discipline for attendance and performance actions.
    • Support all badging and security processes, including badge issuance, renewals, terminations, custom seal distribution, and accurate recordkeeping.
    • Assist with planning and execution of station activities and events to include but not limited to safety programs and team member appreciation events.
    • Support with irregular operations planning, snow operations planning and support.
    • Establish, organize and maintain records and files, ensuring accuracy and record retention compliance.
    • Support all recurrent and cornerstone training and bulletin tracking in partnership with the Training Department, helping to ensure 100% completion and documentation.
    • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding documents and conversations involving team member and human resource matters, and all company confidential information.

    • Performs other duties as assigned to support McGee’s successful business operation.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 1 year of Human Resources or Administrative experience.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and database maintenance required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Strong organization and time management skills, and ability to maintain thorough and accurate records.
    • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing a timely and accurate work product.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance as required.
    • Ability to work independently with high initiative and flexibility.
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts; weekends and holidays.
    • Positive, team-oriented and adaptable to a dynamic environment with flexibility to assist with special projects during high demand and based on operational need.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in business, communication, human resources or related discipline.
    • Aviation, Transportation, or related industry experience.

    Airport SIDA Badge Requirements

    Important notification for employees whose work requires unescorted access inside the airport: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge.     _Physical Demands & Work Conditions _
    Lifting/Carrying: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry baggage and cargo weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds or more. This often involves lifting items onto raised surfaces or into confined aircraft bins.

    Movement:

    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and twisting for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts or more).

    • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in cramped or high places.

    • Manual dexterity required for handling documents and operating equipment.

    Driving/Operating Equipment: Must be able to operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts, which requires a valid driver's license and the physical capability to do so safely.

    Vision/Hearing: Clear vision (including depth perception and peripheral vision) and hearing are required for monitoring flight information, communication via radio/headsets, and safety compliance in a noisy environment.

    Outdoor Exposure: The job is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.

    Noise and Environment: The work environment is very noisy, near active aircraft engines and ground support machinery, and may involve exposure to fumes, dust, and other airborne particles. Hearing protection is usually provided and required.

    Physical Capabilities Testing
    This position requires significant physical agility; you may be required to complete a Physical Capabilities Test post offer that will demonstrate your ability to:

    • Lift, carry, and place weighted standardized boxes, suitcases, or duffel bags from floor height to overhead.
    • Climb steps carrying weighted standardized box, suitcase, or duffel bags.
    • Sit and rotate to the left, right, and behind and visually identify a letter or number.
    • Pull a weighted sled a standardized distance.

    Union Information
    This position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Per the CBA, work schedules are awarded based on seniority. New hires are awarded their initial shift based on operational need. Therefore, the company cannot guarantee certain days off.
