Title - Administrative & Travel Support Specialist Client - NOAA Location - San Diego, CA
Overview The Administrative & Travel Support Specialist provides day-to-day administrative, meeting, andtravel coordination support for NOAA Fisheries’ Fisheries Research Division (FRD). This rolesupports managers, staff, and international partners by helping ensure meetings, travel,documentation, and collaborative activities run smoothly. Key Responsibilities ● Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparingdocuments, maintaining files, and supporting internal communications. ● Assist with planning and supporting domestic and international meetings, work groupsessions, and plenary meetings, including coordination with host organizations. ● Help prepare, format, and finalize meeting materials, participant lists, announcements,and operational documentation. ● Maintain and update internal manuals, databases, and web-related information asneeded. ● Support collaboration efforts between FRD and partner organizations by coordinatingworkshops, tracking activities, and communicating with working group members.Coordinate staff travel, including preparing travel documentation, booking transportationand lodging, tracking expenses, and maintaining travel logs and calendars. ● Work with internal travel specialists to support international travel requirements such asvisas, passports, and country clearances. ● Provide general staff support on an as-needed basis and serve as backup for otheradministrative personnel when required. Qualifications The Contractor personnel used to fulfill this requirement must have a minimumeducation/experience, which requires either a high school diploma or a minimum of 2-yearexperience in the areas defined below:
