JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliability, security, and day-to-day operation of public cloud infrastructure. This role is highly operational, with a strong focus on incident response, system patching, and fulfillment of routine standard requests. The Cloud Systems Administrator ensures cloud hosted systems remain reliable, secure, and compliant through disciplined operational practices and timely execution.
** ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Operate and maintain infrastructure in public cloud environments
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance using monitoring and alerting tools
- Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents to restore service quickly
- Perform root cause analysis and document incident outcomes
- Execute regular patching and maintenance for Windows, Linux, and database systems
- Manage operating system upgrades, and lifecycle activities
- Fulfill routine Standard Requests such as access changes, system modifications, and maintenance tasks
- Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and operational standards
- Coordinate maintenance windows and communicate impacts clearly
- Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, having 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity is required in addition to the minimum experience required of the position.

- Preferred:
- Experience in a CloudOps or Infrastructure Operations role
- Experience supporting production systems with on call or incident response responsibilities
** Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position**
- Strong proficiency in operating workloads in OCI and Azure public cloud platforms
- Strong background in administering Windows Server and Linux operating systems
- Proven knowledge of system patching for operating systems and databases
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, and firewalls
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and operating systems
- Familiarity with automation or scripting to support operational efficiency
- Understanding of security best practices, access controls, and compliance requirements
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with database platforms and maintenance processes
** Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position**
- Preferred:
- Cloud certifications in Azure or OCI
Physical Requirements
- Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
- Able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
- Able to exert up to 10 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
