  • Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Facilities Services Manager or his/her designee, the Maintenance Mechanic I performs a variety of maintenance and engineering duties, including maintaining, repairing, operating, and renovating plant and facilities for the Facilities Services Department.  Maybe also assigned at times to receive guidance and instruction from the Master or Senior Mechanic.  On evening and weekends could be called upon to take direction from the Plant Operating Technician or Maintenance Mechanic II as assigned by the Facilities Services Manager.

    EDUCATION:

     

    High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    One (1) year of trade school  or experience as listed below.

     

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

     

    Minimum of two (2) years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a similar sized health care institution in engineering discipline.

    Assists in making decisions on all normal and minor repairs and reports major problems to the Building Services Manager. 

    Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs equipment, systems and facilities related to any craft or combination of same, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment. 

    Performs a variety of other semi-skilled and skilled work in various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, welding, painting, electrical work, sheet metal work, masonry, machinist work, etc. 

    Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, installs and diagnoses malfunction of HVAC equipment, sterilizers, laundry and dietary equipment, sprinkler and standpipe systems, ice makers and refrigeration equipment, electrical system and other plant and specialty equipment. 

    Maintains logs, performs rounds, completes P.M. work orders, tests, and inspections. 

    Maintain the systems, equipment and facilities, is a clean safe operating condition in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and department policy. 

    Effectively and Courteously communicates with administrative, medical and supervisory staff employees, patients, representative of architects, contractors, vendors, etc 

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    Responsibilities to include:  Audit existing installation and gap analysis. Coordinate the Install of necessary equipment.  Problem solve any installation issues.  Resource needs to have mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, and be a self-starter. Experience: 

    • Wireless Site Development in South Florida region required.

    • Site and Telco installation. 

    • Wireless carrier new build and capital, Sprint preferred. 

    • Managing outside contractors and internal processes thru permitting, construction and integration
