Summary/Objective
The Admissions Enrollment Advisor supports the Offices of Admission and Registrar's objective of identifying, recruiting, and contributing to increasing the population of admitted and enrolled students. This position advises prospective and admitted students on admission requirements and academic programs, and performs day-to-day activities as assigned, attending recruiting events, returning prospective students’ phone calls, and accepting and reviewing students’ admission applications and academic transcripts.
Essential Functions
Call the prospective student the same day an admission application is received during normal business hours.
Review admission paperwork and evaluate academic transcripts.
Assist the Director of Admissions and Recruiting with maintaining the comprehensive recruiting plan.
Develop relationships with community colleges
· Accurately and completely explain educational programs and expected outcomes to students and parents, and other constituents;
· Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity weekly goals; utilize approved recruitment policies/formats; make prompt and effective contact with inquiries and redirect unqualified candidates based upon incompatible career goals;
· Secure new inquiries by directly asking phone and in-person contacts about referrals of others to contact that may be interested in programs offered;
· Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for enrollment based upon career goal compatibility;
· Consistently conduct follow-up meetings, monthly at a minimum, with all applicants to ensure successful matriculation.
· Assist other personnel and departments with data collection and problem-solving.
· Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities, including: open houses, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, community outreach, employer partnerships, etc.
