AWM SMART SHELF is reinventing retail and looking for smart, talented people to work on building exciting applications. The initial focus of this position is working on AWM Frictionless which is a cashierless-shopping solution for shoppers to be able to grab what they want from a store and simply walk out.

Our solution uses real-time computer vision and deep learning to determine what shoppers take. We're looking for an experienced Python Developer / Engineer with a strong understanding of object-oriented design and comfort with Linux to help us develop tools as well as design and maintain existing repos, among other things.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop and maintain various software and tools for our autonomous shopping solutions

· Build automation tools, pipelines, and continuous integration workflows

· Ability to design and maintain deployments

· Build, deploy, maintain, and document infrastructure

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Strong fluency in Python programming and development

· Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation

· Experience with both relation and nonrelational databases (e.g. MySQL, Cassandra)

· Experience with a build system and containerization technology

· Understanding of Linux including system installs, network configuration, systems, and troubleshooting

NICE TO HAVES

· Experience with microservices

· Experience with Docker, Jenkins

· Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes

· Experience developing network or database interface applications

· Experience with front end development (e.g. JavaScript)

· Strong understanding of security and privacy fundamentals

· Grafana/Prometheus experience

· Azure, AWS, or GCP experience
