Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Adult English Literacy Instructor to lead our adult literacy classes. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that fosters growth and confidence in English language skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of adult learners.
• Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills using relevant materials and resources.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Facilitate interactive activities that promote collaboration and real-life application of language skills.
• Provide support with practical literacy tasks, such as filling out forms and writing resumes.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable participating.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance program offerings and student support.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Associates degree in a related field and 1-3+ years of English teaching experience
● Knowledge and experience with backwards design process for planning;
● Maintains high quality standards and pays rigorous attention to details.
● Excellent interpersonal communication skills; possesses curiosity and has an enthusiasm for learning
● Positive attitude, flexible approach, and ability to develop close working relationships with students and colleagues.
