    Job Summary

    This position requires an individual that is knowledgeable of aircraft heavy maintenance in an Aviation MRO organization. The applicant should have a thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, structures, interiors, and performing maintenance and modifications. This position is highly customer oriented and will require and individual that excels in customer relations to include daily interface and coordination between department managers, lead mechanics and technicians. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to oversight of pre-arrival preparations, planning, maintenance, and delivery of aircraft, ensuring the projects are completed in a safe, high quality timely manner, on budget and to meet customer satisfaction.Essential Job Functions• Determine the proper sequencing of tasks to provide safe and logical work effort, in accordance with maintenance manual(s) and RSQCM• Coordinate project details with the Manager Programs/Planning, Director Maintenance, Quality personnel, and Team Leads• Review work order(s) with the Manager Programs/Planning for accuracy and completion• Ensure technical data is reviewed and confirmed prior to assignment(s) to technicians• Review discrepancies generated, produce estimates, and submit to customer for approval• Process approvals and facilitates parts procurement• Produce project updates• Meet with customer pre and post event; communicates with customer throughout event• Produce schedule for technicians based on work requirements• Make certain that technicians and leads are properly qualified for the work being performed• Guarantee cleanliness of work area(s)• Provide oversight for all maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations while adhering to accepted maintenance/alteration performance standards• Ensure inspections are requested in an orderly and timely manner• Attend daily planning meetingsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS• 10+ years’ experience as A&P mechanic• 7+ years’ experience in supervisor role(s)• Must have a valid A&P License• Knowledge and experience to include troubleshooting, specialized tools, ground support equipment, and the use of aircraft technical manuals• Professional appearance• Critical time management and logistical problem-solving skills• Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality of work• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to read, write, and speak English at an advanced level• Must be able to build and work as a team in a high stress, fast-paced environment• Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance• Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task• Must be computer proficient • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods• Must be available to be on call• Be able to pass a background check and drug test• Must have a valid Driver’s License• High School Diploma or equivalent
