    Job Description

    DUTIES

    • Answers all calls via a multi-line phone system in a professional and timely manner.
    • Provides first-line information regarding regional rideshare services, routes, transfers, fares, etc.
    • Utilizes Share the Ride NC and other trip itinerary resources to respond to routine trip planning and ridesharing requests.
    • Assists with commuter Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) reduction by proactively identifying the most effective rideshare solution and registering new commuters in the rideshare matching website.
    • Completes Emergency Ride Home program requests for alternate transportation users.
    • Promotes the use of regional passes and other resources benefiting Piedmont Triad commuters.
    • Facilitates transit pass sales.
    • Receives and records customer feedback consistent with procedures.
    • Mails schedules, brochures and other correspondence upon request.
    • Tracks service complaints and performs other record keeping tasks.
    • Performs other duties as assigned and requested.

     

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • One year customer service or related public contact experience required.

    • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, and report to work during adverse weather.

    • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously including answering a multi-line phone, using a computer and other tools as needed.

    • Fluency in English required.

    • Confidence to work independently.

    • Pleasant conversational voice tone that demonstrates the exceptional level of patience required to effectively communicate with diverse and irate callers.

    • Ability to type 40 WPM.

    • Intermediate proficiency with computer use, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
