    Advanced Procedural Medical Assistant
    ** Ideal for Pre-Med / Pre-PA Gap Year Candidates Seeking Advanced Clinical Experience**

    Our growing dermatology and cosmetic practice is seeking a highly motivated, polished, and patient-focused Advanced Procedural Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role offers meaningful hands-on experience across medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with opportunities to gain advanced procedural skills and direct provider mentorship.

    This position is ideal for candidates planning to pursue medical school, PA school, or nursing, who are seeking substantive clinical experience in a fast-paced specialty practice.

    Because of the extensive training and investment involved, a two-year commitment is required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required (Pre-PA, Pre-Med, or Pre-Nursing preferred)
    • Certified Medical Assistant (or certification obtained during employment)
    • 1–2 years of clinical experience required; dermatology experience preferred
    • Strong interest in dermatology (medical, surgical, and cosmetic)
    • Professional, confident communicator
    • Comfortable discussing treatment plans and pricing with patients
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

    Clinical Responsibilities

    • Assist providers with medical and surgical dermatology procedures
    • Perform clinical scribing and patient documentation
    • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, and post-procedure care
    • Coordinate follow-up care for the practice's GLP-1 program
    • Reinforce provider treatment plans and assist with patient questions
    • Perform advanced aesthetic and energy-based treatments after formal training and certification
    • Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical efficiency

    Cosmetic & Patient Engagement Responsibilities

    This role plays an important part in supporting the growth of the cosmetic side of the practice through patient education and relationship building. Responsibilities include:

    • Following up with patients after cosmetic consultations
    • Monitoring cosmetic rebooking and treatment continuation
    • Educating patients on aesthetic treatment options
    • Supporting patient outreach and retention initiatives
    • Assisting with in-practice marketing and social media efforts
