The Director of Development, Mid-Atlantic Region will lead and manage ALL MAJOR GIFT FUNDRAISING in the Greater Washington, DC market, including growing and stewarding the donor base for the No Kid Hungry Campaign and annual dinner event. As there is tremendous growth potential in this market, the Director will be responsible for achieving a year one fundraising goal of a minimum $3.5M, with expectations for significant growth (11-14% year-over-year) over the next three years. The Director will oversee the expansion of one of the organization’s premier culinary events -- the DC No Kid Hungry dinner -- involving key high-level volunteers in the region. Best practices and learnings from this and other events are shared with peers across the team. The position requires a high-performing development professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-growth, collaborative organization. The Director must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and must be able to work effectively across organizational and functional boundaries. This individual will collaborate with high level volunteers and board members.
