Job Description
The purpose of this job is to evaluate and recommend petroleum pricing strategies with a focus on leveraging advanced data models and analytics to achieve the optimal fuel profit strategy. The strategic focus will center on evaluating current fuel outcomes and pricing strategies, assessing the competitive landscape, forecasting market trends, monitoring in-depth customer and location performance.
Essential Functions
1. Assess and analyze the petroleum performance of current pricing strategies.
2. Identify opportunities and solve complex business problems across the organization to grow profit and increase efficiencies – with particular emphasis on fuel pricing strategies, network design, and future development.
3. Support data science and analytics through thought partnership, sharing of ideas, feedback communication, and translation.
4. Communicate solutions, insights, and roadmap with executive leadership and key business stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with internal customers including Sales, Pricing, Energy, Construction, Store Modernization and IT to help drive the success of various fuel centric initiatives across the company
6. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
7. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
8. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required with business, analytics, mathematics or science fields
• Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of industry or strategist experience and/or combination of education and experience.
Specialized Knowledge
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
• Tableau, GIS, and other analysis or visualization tool expertise preferred
• Python, R and other coding languages a plus
