Social Security Disability Representation company is seeking full-time Case Manager to represent disability applicants through the Hearing and Appeals Council stages of the Social Security Disability appeals process. The position requires, but is not limited to, claimant interviewing, development of evidence, preparing motions and briefs and attending hearings to represent claimants before Administrative Law Judges at the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO).
This is a full-time employment position.
JOB REQUIRES TRAVEL TO HEARING SITES WHEN APPLICABLE. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to legally operate a motor vehicle, travel by air, train, bus etc.
Qualified applicants should have at least a four year degree and experience working with SSA, disability claims development, legal, medical or social work. Consideration will be given to individuals who have presented cases before Administrative Law Judges within the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO). Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, computer proficiency and a keen desire to advocate on behalf of disabled individuals.
Eligible for Direct Payment Non-Attorney (EDPNA) & Accredited Disability Representative (ADR) status a plus.
JD or MSW degrees desirable.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
