Advantage Capital's Solar Team is our dedicated investment platform for renewable energy. Established in 2017, our team has three main areas of focus. Firstly, we manage our investment in Hoosier Solar, a solar project development company based in Indiana. Secondly, we underwrite and manage tax equity investments for institutional clients. Thirdly, we invest in renewable energy projects located within Opportunity Zones.

Despite being a small and agile team, we are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to create value in sectors affected by the energy transition, such as solar, energy storage, and hydrogen. Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Solar team in our New York office. As a Senior Analyst, you will work directly with senior investment management to support investing and monitoring activities, and develop the skills needed to take the lead on transactions. Your main responsibilities will include the following:

Manage the process of gathering, sorting and analyzing data for investment underwriting for tax and sponsor equity investments.

Prepare and analyze financial models and support the creation of internal investment memorandums.

Support due diligence activities for tax and sponsor equity investment opportunities.

Oversee investment monitoring activities and be a direct point-of-contact for internal and external stakeholders in relevant investments.

Qualifications

Advantage Capital is seeking motivated, confident, and articulate individuals with 2-3 years’ post-undergraduate experience in investment banking, private equity/institutional investing, and/or renewables finance at top-tier institutions. Candidates must have experience within the renewable energy industry in the context of investing in projects and/or development companies. The ideal candidate will have renewables-focused experience spanning both corporate and project/structured finance, including tax equity and debt underwriting.

The successful candidate will:

Demonstrate a track record of high achievement in demanding academic settings, preferably within accounting or finance.

Have strong oral and written communication skills as well as sharp financial and analytical capabilities.

Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Be a self-starter who is eager to grab responsibility and assignments.

Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, multi-task, prioritize, communicate, and function on a small team in a collegial environment.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, humility and the ability to take direction; and

Always be a team player able to collaborate with Advantage Capital colleagues across multi-state offices.
