As a member of the investment team, the Analyst works on deal teams to evaluate and monitor potential and existing private equity and subordinated debt investments in traditionally underserved, rural, or distressed markets. The Analyst works with deal team leads to create and present investment memorandums and financial models for committee review and manage portfolio companies post-close. Additionally, the Analyst leads various internal investment and fund data reports for senior investment team members.

Job Purpose:

The Analyst’s purpose is to be a value-add team member of the deal team through the individuals’ financial, writing, and communicative skills.

Responsibilities:

Perform outreach for investment sourcing and build relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and operators of companies in a broad range of industries;

Evaluate debt and equity investment opportunities;

Complete financial analysis and modeling, industry research and general due diligence on potential investments;

Assist in the negotiation and structuring of debt and equity transactions;

Draft and present investment memos detailing transactions, companies and industries;

Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

Advantage Capital is seeking motivated, confident, and articulate individuals with 0-4 years’ post-undergraduate experience. Candidates are expected to have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a strong record of leadership accomplishments.
