    ** Job Summary

    **

    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Programmer will review customer prints and components and ensure they are formatted to a consistent level that is compatible with the organization’s ERP and Production capabilities. This may include working directly with customer engineering groups to provide feedback on machine capabilities vs design and to look for methods of simplifying production methods to reduce cost and increase production velocity. The Engineering Programmer will also create programs for sheet metal equipment to allow production of customer parts that are consistent with ISO9001 and AS9100 production standards and that achieve customer satisfaction. This role will also include interfacing with production staff on machine and print details and overcoming any obstacles presented by the machine or material limitations.

    ** Essential Functions

    **

    • Must be highly proficient at using ERP systems to understand production steps to manufacture a wide range of products.

    • Must be able to work closely with Purchasing and Quality groups to ensure availability of proper materials and required inspections for customer satisfaction.

    • Familiarity with CAD/CAM, SolidWorks and/or other modeling software required.

    • Experience with Merry Mech, Cincinnati and Trumpf software preferred.

    • Analyze and specify required tooling to achieve production and cost metrics.

    • Provide detailed support and feedback to production teams.

    • Provide feedback to estimating and sales on potential complications to jobs.

    • Prior experience in writing and editing sheet metal programming to include laser cutting and turret punching also beneficial.

    -Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing or 5S principals desirable.

    ** Required Education and Experience

    **

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Bachelors of Science with relevant manufacturing experience in precision machining and sheet metal fabrication preferred. Combination of

    ** Work Environment

    **

    Primarily in an office environment, this job can also operate in multiple production environments. Duties may be performed in the office, on production floor, in presence of welding and stamping machines, powder and painting environments, or outside. Exposure to hot, cold, and ambient temperatures routine.

    ** Schedule

    **

    The required schedule for this position is Mon-Fri 7:00AM – 3:30PM. Additional time may be required on an as needed basis.

    ** Compensation

    **

    Compensation for this position will start at $65,000.00/year depending on experience. Benefits are available after a waiting period and include shared cost health care, paid holidays, paid time off, and 401k with company match.
