    JOB TITLE: JAPANESE BILINGUAL IT SERVICE DESK SPECIALIST/ SYSTEMS ENGINEER

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    Industry: IT 

    Status:  Contract (contract renewal will be reviewed every 3 months)

    Working Location: Dallas, TX (Work from Home until further notice: Training will be in the company’s Dallas office: No relocation or temporary housing benefits provided)

    Working Hours: Shift varies from 6:30am – 6:30pm including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays

    Overview

    A global IT business solutions company is looking for a Japanese bilingual IT Service Desk Specialist/ Systems Engineer.

    This IT Service Desk Specialist/ Systems Engineer will perform incident response and handle service request of customer's system by following the company procedure manuals.

    With minimal and/or remote supervision, responsible for receiving user tickets through electronic systems, properly documenting all actions taken and communicating effectively with the user community throughout life cycle of a ticket. 

    Resolves intermediate to complex computer software and network problems by applying trouble-shooting and problem solving skills. 

    Any further issues and problems you will communicate with engineers and direction is provided on remediation.

    Essential Duties Include But Not Are Limited To:  

    •           Provide direct Level I technical support to client’s on-site personnel

    •           Monitor incidents and service requests which alerts are made by emails

    •           Perform incident response tasks as assigned (e.g., software upgrades, file editing, directory/data migration)

    •           Follow the procedure manuals and direction by service request teams to diagnose and respond to incidents and service requests

    •           Resolve reported incidents in the software environment by deadlines

    •           Maintain incident management system with up to date information on ticket progress

    •           Complete assigned service request tickets in timely manner 

    •           Update asset tracking inventory in accordance with work instructions

    •           Escalate the issues and requests if necessary

    Qualifications

    •          Fluency in Japanese language skills (reading/writing)

    •          Proficiency with MS Office Applications, and strong familiarity and experience with Windows, and Linux operating systems operation, administration, and troubleshooting

    •          Participation in on-call rotation periodically which may involve non-traditional working hours

    •          Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering or computer science or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred (Entry-level with strong IT software, network, infrastructure knowledge welcome)

    •          Able to execute commands exactly as described in the procedure manual

    •          Able to make a judgement to escalate the problem if needed
