    Who We Are Looking For

You are cautious, introspective, and highly loyal to authority. While others may be quick to choose, you value details, and must fully understand a topic before making decisions. Your coworkers have noticed that you are supportive and collaborative, and you don’t obsess over having things your way - just making sure the right things get completed.

Your consistency with repetitive tasks will serve you well in this role since you'll be responsible for the accumulation and reporting of rental activity within a portfolio of properties. You have a sharp eye for details and an obsession for accuracy and timeliness so reconciling monthly ledgers and recognizing any unusual trends or entries is in line with your natural behaviors.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reconcile and analyze general ledgers for multiple properties
    • Review and report available cash balances to Property Managers and Accounts Payable
    • Navigate accounting software (Yardi, ResMan, e-site, Boston Post) and assist Property Managers in the system
    • Accumulate, review, and enter rent payments, rent adjustments, and move-in/move-out information
    • Close monthly and annual financials including reconciling balances, reviewing income and expense balances for unusual trends or entries, and preparing financial statements
    • Review and post standard accruals
    • Reconcile resident security deposit balances against supporting accounting reports and bank statements
    • Prepare documentation for cash transfers between operating, security, and tax accounts
    • Assist with audits as needed

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Previous experience in Property Management required
    • Experience with Yardi and ResMan (preferred, not required)
    • Knowledge of monthly financial statement preparation
    • Experience in general ledger account reconciliation and analysis

    Company Benefits

    • Medical, dental, and vision
    • Paid time off
    • Paid holidays
    • 401k with match
