Bookkeeper
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
- Full cycle A/P processing.
- Maintain and update files associated with accounts payable.
- Provide bank balance print outs with all accounts payable runs.
- Audit and run month end and year end reports for accounts payable.
- Set up new vendors, obtain necessary tax forms from new vendors and maintain vendor files.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE:
- Full cycle A/R processing.
- Prepare and make bank deposits.
- Maintain and update files associated with accounts payable.
- Audit and run month end and year end reports for accounts receivable.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT:
- Prepare, audit, and run recurring charges.
- Prepare deposits and post cash receipts.
- Work with tenants on accounts and make sure all receipts are timely.
- Maintain filing.
- Audit and run month end and year end reports for property maintenance.
GENERAL LEDGER:
- Prepare all monthly JE’s.
- Maintain filing.
- Audit and run month end/year end reports to compare all companies for final audit prior to close.
PAYROLL:
- Process timecards and payroll checks
- Communicate with ADP for monthly payroll preparation and payment.
- Audit ADP reports to general ledger.
JOB COST:
- Prepare and process monthly A/P’s and input budgets.
- Prepare draws to lending institutions.
- Audit and run month end and year end reports for job cost.
OTHER:
- Manage bank accounts and prepare recons.
- Prepare mortgage, insurance, and property tax payments.
- Correspond and collaborate with CPA.
Qualifications
- 4-year accounting degree OR extensive industry experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in Office 365 including SharePoint and PowerApps.
- Yardi or equivalent accounting software experience.
- Flexible: Must be able to multitask with Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Administrative staff.
