TITLE                                    : DATA ENGINEER WITH SCALA & SPARK EXP OR SCALA ENGINEER LOCATION                             :  100% REMOTE

NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT   :  FULL TIME, PERMANENT OR CONTRACT IS ALSO FINE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY SKILLS: Scala & Spark + SQL. NEED TO BE GOOD IN SCALA CODING

 ·       Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience

·       6+ years programming experience: building business logic layers and back-end systems for high-volume pipelines

·       Experience on SPARK, SPARK SQL, and SCALA

·       Experience with data architecture, ETL and processing of structured and unstructured data

GOOD TO HAVE:

·       Must have experience using AWS Data Services: any combination of DMS, EMR, Glue, Athena, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda or IAM

·       Experience with DevOps tools (any combination of GitHub, Travis CI or Jira) and methodologies (Lean, Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development)
