Local firm is looking to add a DESIGN ENGINEER to their team due to growth and demand of their services. Would need to handle multiple projects in various stages, projects could be in the $100K - $5M+ range. (Design/Fabricate/Install)

• Anticipate $75-90K, based on experience

• Experience with the Design and Installation of Material Handling Systems, Industrial Automation systems a big plus

Support and Manage Engineering Team with the following;

• Produce product design layouts, part drawings, fabrication drawings and assembly drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD software
• Create bill of materials and parts list for designs
• Make revisions and corrections to existing drawings when requested and as needed
• Work directly with Supervisors and Management to interpret project direction for the development or revision of the project
• Work directly with fabricators and suppliers to interpret drawings and ensure quality and accuracy
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and research design possibilities when needed
• Communicate with other departments as required for project work
• Has strong organizational skills and is able to work periodically with minimal supervision.
• Follow all organizational and area/departmental procedures, safety policies and directives as outlined
• Perform any other job duties that may be requested

Duties are usually performed in an office environment. Some travel to a jobsite might be required.

• Looking for 2+ years of experience
• BSME Preferred
• Inventor experience required
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Microsoft Office experience
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication is a plus
• Experience with the Design and Installation of Material Handling Systems, Industrial Automation systems a big plus
