    ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION | GREAT FALLS, MT | SENIOR STARTUP COORDINATOR

    We are seeking for a Senior Startup Coordinator in Great Falls, MT. This position is responsible for start up activities at a facility and having experience with energized equipment and working with live electrical systems.

    • $58-$63/hr. based on experience
    • 60 hours per week, M-F
    • Per Diem: 145$/day x 7 days
    • R&R assistance (Every 4 weeks)
    • Willingness to travel.

    Description: Lead Electrical Systems Coordinator has responsibility of all Electrical commissioning requirements for project completion. These requirements are project dependent and may include relay testing oversight, relay testing results communication with client and engineering, energization of the electrical system per energization guidelines, motor run-ins and rotation checks, and functional testing.

    • The candidate will comprehension of electrical systems, energized equipment, and leading teams of technicians. The role may require leading Electrical Systems Engineers, electrical technicians, and electricians. The candidate will be involved in direct communication with client, superintendents, vendors and the commissioning and startup team. Note that this role involves working with live equipment.
    • The candidate must complete NFPA 70E Level 1 training as well as other possible NFPA requirements. 

     The Electrical SU Coordinator is the responsible lead for all plant electrical equipment. The Electrical SU coordinator is the primary point of contact for all systems electrical function through pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and operations of the plant. Activities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensure support and resources are available to meet system completion needs, supporting system engineers
    • Verify Electrical systems installed per design
    • Verify Electrical system loads are per design
    • Inspection of all equipment and verify proper installation
    • Inspection of vendor panels and equipment
    • Perform and/or support field engineering changes with office engineer support/confirmation
    • Record, distribute and maintain redlined engineering changes on drawings
      • Test Generator, AVR, and Synchronization equipment
      • Observation, Review, Confirmation, Supervision of:
      • Complex relay testing
    • Electrical equipment testing
    • In conjunction with the Tech. Foreman coordinate Electrical Technician activities
    • Troubleshooting, revisions, corrections, testing
    • Track, record and report progress on assigned systems
    • Perform system functional testing from DCS
    • Start/stop, trips, et cetera
    • Verify plant electrical interlock systems
    • Record system progress and completion for plant turnover documentation
    • Perform switching operation of High and Medium voltage switchgear
    • Support and maintain plant turnover documents
    • Support plant operation

    Requirements: Desirable knowledge & Experience:

    • Scheduling experience specific to operations/maintenance work orders
    • Experience with CMMS (SAP, Maximo)
    • Previous experience in a client-facing role.
