Our client is seeking an Estimator/Sales professional who will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs, developing competitive bids, and collaborating with our sales and project management teams to secure successful roofing contracts. Expertise in estimating, attention to detail, and understanding of roofing systems will be vital in ensuring the profitability and success of our projects. Experience with Commercial Roofing Sales is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, architectural drawings, and other relevant documents to provide accurate estimates for roofing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate closely with the sales and project management teams to understand client requirements, project objectives, and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Prepare detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns for various roofing systems, considering factors such as materials, labor, equipment, permits, and overhead.
• Research and identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to industry best practices.
• Utilize advanced estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accurate calculations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather essential information and insights for preparing precise estimates.
• Evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop contingency plans.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging roofing technologies, and best practices to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of our bids.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial roofing estimation, demonstrating a strong understanding of various roofing systems and materials.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel/Office suite.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail in calculations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across multiple teams.
• Successful track record of bidding on and securing commercial roofing projects.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to roofing projects.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
