FINANCE INTERN

Advatix was founded by leading performers from Amazon and FedEx as a consulting firm focused on eCommerce, logistics, and fulfillment. XPDEL provides 3PL and 3PF services to an array of eCommerce companies. With a team spread across two continents, the sister companies share a common finance organization. Our Finance team combines traditional financial planning and analysis with broader business decision making and strategy, directly supporting leadership. Finance is embedded in daily operations, supporting both near-term execution and long-term planning. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations and lead cross-functional decision-making and implementation of the recommendations.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Advatix/XPDEL Finance team is small and dynamic, comprised of US and Indian staff covering accounting, compliance, and finance for the two sister companies. Our primary focus is to:

• Lead Advatix/XPDEL’s P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecast process working with finance and non-finance stakeholders to analyze the impact of proposed business decisions
• Develop and track cross-company efforts to improve gross margin and cash flow
• Lead long term planning for the companies, including new products/capabilities, and capital need
• Lead pricing efforts and business planning for both companies.
• Develop and evaluate ROI for new markets, new business models, and service

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is a 5-month paid internship for 10-15 hours a week. Work is fully remote and can range from managing a database of client assets to calculating average delivery cost across 8 markets. The expectation is the intern will be able to work independently and create superior work products. Previous interns have received offers from Capital One, Tesla, and Wayfair.

REQUIREMENTS

• A robust analytical skillset and questioning mindset
• Experience with financial accounting (GAAP, accrual vs cash, etc.)
• Experience in creating presentations and written summaries explaining a business case
• Skill in analyzing large datasets
• Excellent modeling skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Excel; experience with Power BI and SQL a plus)
• Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and execution focused
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
