Aequor Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated and talented Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will enable students with various disabilities to achieve their full potential through individualized instruction and support. This role requires a strong passion for teaching, patience, and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and instructional materials to provide engaging and effective lessons
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and assess students academic and social progress to ensure they are meeting their goals
- Implement behavior management plans and provide support to students with emotional and behavioral disabilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports on student progress
- Attend and participate in meetings, workshops, and trainings as required
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field with appropriate teaching certification
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities
- Knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies and instructional materials
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience and ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with assistive technology and other tools to support student learning is a plus
