    We are looking for an experienced Aerospace Parts Painter to join our team! Your primary job role will be mixing and applying liquid paints to components used in Commercial and Military Aerospace Systems. Additional responsibilities will include various other operations for processing jobs through the liquid paint application processes such as completing test inspections.

    Responsibilities:

    Mix multi-component liquid primers and paints in accordance with specifications

    Apply liquid paints on Aerospace Components in accordance with specifications while meeting all test inspection requirements (Paint Thickness and Visual Defects)

    Perform maintenance of Paint Gun, Paint Pot, and Paint Booth in accordance with company specifications

    Document the work you have performed on company Forms

    Preparation of parts prior to paint applications (Counting Parts, Cleaning Parts, Masking, Body-Work, and Sanding)

    Using test equipment to check compliance of parts (Thickness, Gloss, Adhesion)

    Qualifications:

    Experience in mixing liquid multi-component paints and their application on Aerospace Components

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate in both verbal and written forms

    Ability to read and write in English

    Ability to see, hear, and use arms and hands (Note: The Company will consider accomodations for physical impairments)

    Solid interpersonal skills to enable effective teamwork abilities

    Prior work experience that demonstrated good performance

    Authorized to work in the United States of America

    Must conform to the company’s Drug and Alcohol Program Policy.

    Considerations for Higher Starting Pay:

    Note: The more of these items you are able to demonstrate during the interview then the higher your starting pay will be.

    Ability to perform painting of more complex part types while achieving all test inspection requirements (paint thickness and visual defects)

    Productivity and Quality significantly improved over a minimally experienced Aerospace Parts Painter

    Ability to paint parts requiring a Class-A Finish

    Ability to deliver high volume while meeting all test-inspection requirements (thickness, visual defects, etc.)

    Ability to analyze requirements for the most complex part types and then to define painting techniques for them to improve productivity and quality

    Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and work with management on their implementation

    Ability to Train and Mentor Junior Painters

    Ability to lead other Painters while partnering with the Production Manager to achieve OTD and Quality of Jobs

    Excellent problem-solving skills
