Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:30am–3:00pm

Overview: We are supporting a precision aerospace manufacturing organisation specialising in high-complexity, tight-tolerance machined components. The business operates in a highly regulated environment and is seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector to support in-process and final inspection activities on the 1st shift.
This is a hands-on inspection role, ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the shop floor and takes pride in quality, compliance, and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections on aerospace components
Inspect precision-machined parts with tight tolerances
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD &T callouts
Use a range of manual inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy
Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and quality documentation
Identify and document non-conformances , escalating as required
Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain compliance and delivery standards
Required Experience & Skills:
US Citizenship (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
3–5+ years' experience inspecting aerospace products
Background in precision machining and regulated manufacturing environments
Strong hands-on inspection capability using:
Micrometers
Calipers
Height gages
Bore gages
Comparators
Surface plates/layouts
Ability to:
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Understand tolerances and callouts
Apply basic GD &T (true position, flatness, concentricity, profile, etc.)
Working understanding of CMM concepts
Comfortable operating in a structured quality system
Nice to Have (Not Essential):
Practical CMM experience (operation and/or programming)
Exposure to PC-DMIS, Calypso , or similar software
Experience with aerospace standards and tools, such as:
AS9100
AS9102 / First Article Inspection (FAI)
PPAP
PFMEA
Familiarity with audits and compliance documentation
Experience with electronic FAI systems (e.g. Net-Inspect, Discus)
Experience using manufacturing ERP / MRP systems (e.g. JobBOSS)
Ability to work with travellers, routings, and job packets
