DESCRIPTION:
The Project Controls Cost Analyst/Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and developing project and financial systems to ensure that they are efficient and effective and comply with a Sarbanes-Oxley driven controls environment. He or she will also assist in detailed monitoring and analysis of project budgets and actuals. Provides analysis between project schedule and project expenditures. Updates and maintains the project budget and cost information. Provides timely support to project financial reporting and trending functions and the invoice/billing process as required
• Request estimate updates and validate project estimate to scope
• Support Project Managers with capital project projections
• Facilitate lessons learned as it impacts project schedule and budget
• Prepares/reviews cost reports with explanation of variances and root causes
• Develop and maintain process of identifying discrepancies in work orders
• Forecasts costs and schedules for current and/or future analysis of budget authorizations. Flags early warnings for corrective action.
• Assists Project Controls Team Leader in the preparation of cost and schedule reports
• Assists with Project specific budget data entry and reporting with multiple databases

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Education- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Finance or Engineering)
MUST HAVES:
10-15 years of experience working in cost controls
Primavera experience
Experience working with accounting, work order management, and estimating software
PREFERRED
Experience working with PowerPlan, SOFIA, Oracle, and C.A.M.P. desired.
Experience working in Electrical Utility or Energy field is preferred
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Mid-Expert Level
