*New Opening in West Sacramento for a Lab analyst for one of the top environmental companies in the area! *Position: Lab Analyst 1 *Location: *West Sacramento *Pay: *$15.50 *Work Environment: *·  Team environment, metals department Schedule: M-F 9:30 am to 5 pm *Job Description:*The Analyst I prepares and analyzesenvironmental samples using standard analytical techniques according toscientific and EPA methodology in compliance with the company's QualityAssurance programs and SOP’s.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Performs routine lab tasks that provideexperience and familiarization with methods, - practices, and programs. Theseinclude:Preparation of samples using standardtechniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standardtechniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusualtest occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine instrument maintenance2. Responsible for performing job functions incompliance with the company EHS and QA standards3. Responsible for general housekeeping in his/herwork area4. Ability to become trained and competent oncomplex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gaschromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrumentspecific data systems.Secondary Duties1. Works under close supervision using routineand standard methods2. Aliquots and weighs samples3.
