Job Summary
The role of Part Time Aesthetician and Licensed Massage Therapist is a unique part of the clinical team. The Aesthetician is responsible for the delivery of elective skin care services for patients working under the supervision of the physicians. They provide patient education on treatment plans and medication. Our Aestheticians ensure the patient is satisfied with elective skin care services and products recommended and continues to return to receive skin care treatment. The Massage Therapist will have strong technical ability, a professional demeanor, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve improved wellness, recovery, and relaxation. This role is integral to providing exceptional client experiences, aligning with our practice's commitment to high-quality care. This role will travel between all Tennessee locations (Powell, Knoxville, Maryville, and Tellico Village).
Job Responsibilities
******Aesthetician**
****Primary Duties
- Provides patients with complimentary consultations regarding skincare services.
- Provides patients with instructions and educational materials that relate to their unique skin type and recommends adjustments to their skincare regiment as appropriate.
- Determines patient skin care goals and objectives and recommends products and services that can reasonably facilitate attainment of those goals.
- Seeks advice and supervision of physician as required on treatment protocols and notifies the physician of any patient noncompliance.
- Coordinates any correspondence to patients regarding their skin care treatment plan, product usage, or home care instructions.
- Maintains patient medical records detailing all treatment procedures, elective products, medication history, and educational materials received.
- Assist in the cleanliness and organization of the offices.
- Assist with answering the phone, if necessary, only when able and not with patients.
Secondary Duties
- Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation and maintains said equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Participates and attends in-service educational programs and staff meetings.
- Tracks referral sources, sends thank-you letters to the source, and posts consultation letters to the patient.
- Maintains inventory-tracking system for retail and professional products.
- Orders and stocks inventory and supplies as needed for maintaining treatment rooms and retail areas.
- Maintain a valid aesthetician license in accordance with state regulations.
Massage Therapist
Primary Duties
- Perform a variety of massage therapy techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic, prenatal, or specialty services as licensed and trained).
- Assess clients' needs, medical history, and treatment goals to provide safe, customized services.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming treatment environment in compliance with practice and OSHA standards.
- Educate clients on appropriate self-care, stretching, and complementary wellness practices.
- Document treatment notes accurately in client charts (in compliance with HIPAA requirements).
- Collaborate with other team members and providers to support an integrated client care approach.
- Assist with promoting services, treatment plans, and membership or package options when applicable.
- Adhere to scheduling requirements, including rotating Saturdays and occasional coverage at other practice locations as needed. **

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active State of TN License as a Aesthetician and Massage Therapist
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a spa, medical, or wellness setting

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as required for equipment or client assistance.
