    AEYON POSITION TITLE: Consultant

    LOCATION: Falls Church, VA but remote at the moment

    JOB DESCRIPTION: DPC falls under the purview of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment. DPC's mission is to enable the Components to effectively deliver goods and services that meet the needs of the warfighter, while ensuring a business deal that is in the best interests of the tax payer by overseeing and implementing business enterprise initiatives related to pricing, formulating and overseeing complex, DOD-wide pricing policies and strategies supporting the procurement of major defense system programs, major automated information systems and service acquisitions for the Department; and providing innovative policy, guidance, and oversight while being good stewards of the taxpayers' money.

    Team Aeyon consists of BAs and Developers that support DPC in creating BI solutions, such as dashboards, tables, graphs, reports, and data exports that help empower DPC leadership and DoD Contracting community to obtain reliable data in a user-friendly, self-service environment.

    Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Gather Requirements: Work with client to obtain, synthesize, and understand report requirements.
    • Write and review documentation: Write Requirement Specification Documents (RSD) to provide to the Developers. Review other BAs' RSDs and review Developer-produced documents to ensure they are Government-ready.
    • Collaboration with Developers: Communicate with and support Development team as they interpret the requirements into design documents and develop the reports in a testing environment.
    • Report Testing: Conduct functional testing of reports in staging and production environments to ensure that development efforts adhere to client vision, meet the requirements, and provide value to end-users.
    • Team Communication: Coordinate tasks with internal BA team; Provide regular status updates to Government; Serve as a liaison between the Government and Developers to ensure mutual understanding and facilitate forward progress.
    • Leadership Support: Document notes and action items from meetings and provide to leadership as deliverables, as necessary. Follow up and track actions to closure.
    • Support non-reporting requirements: Write and maintain supplemental documents (e.g., user guides, style guide, website), and support other related tasks as they arise, as necessary.

    MANDATORY: Bachelor's degree

    CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3-6 years in a business analysis or product management role.
    • Experience working in a multi-functional environment alongside developers, database engineers, designers, and analysts.
    • Excellent communication skills, especially with regards to making technical details accessible and transparent.
    • Ability to translate technical findings to Senior Leaders in a manner that is easily understandable to those less experienced with analytics
    • Excellent attention to detail, particularly documentation concerns.
    • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues and drive to resolution, engaging support as necessary.
    • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Experience with Agile development, especially Scrum is a plus
    • Experience with BI/Analytic tools including Qlik Sense, Databricks, Prostgres, AWS, Python
    • Experience with SQL is a plus
    • Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
