    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Supports the Acquisition & Sustainment section of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Acquisition) and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Acquisition Enablers) in their Acquisition Data & Analytics and Enterprise Information program.
    • Utilize strong business judgment and communication skills to interact with various consultants, internal & external stakeholders, and management.
    • Develop & drive process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
    • Develop, analyze, and manage complex project plans.
    • Monitor and control overall project performance and quality against plan and adjust as needed.
    • Manage, monitor, and mitigate project or component risks, issues, and opportunities.
    • Communicate challenging issues to stakeholders and keep an independent opinion.
    • Manage and oversee the development, completion, and delivery of contract deliverables.
    • Apply a strong familiarity with software tracking tools, particularly JIRA, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite, for implementing best practices to increase efficiency.
    • Under general supervision, the employee will be expected to exercise sound and independent judgment and consistently exercise discretion.

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active SECRET clearance

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    MANDATORY: BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, COMPUTER SCIENCE, MIS, OR A RELATED FIELD

    WAIVABLE/SUBSTITUTABLE: ADDITIONAL EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE DEGREE REQUIREMENT, INCLUDING EXPERIENCE MANAGING PROJECTS

    CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    MANDATORY:  PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL (PMP) OR EQUIVALENT PROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Mandatory:

    • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical team members or senior leadership; ability to clearly explain complex scenarios • Demonstrated situational awareness and professionalism • Ability to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and threats to program threats and present solutions • Proven ability to adapt to highly dynamic requirements • Excellent meeting management skills and Microsoft Office Suite product skills • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience • 5-7 years of experience working on projects or programs requiring the integration of cross-functional technology and/or business solutions

    PREFERRED:

    • Experience working with the Department of Defense's Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment and/or a strong      understanding of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) • Five or more years of Federal Contracting experience (3 years + preferably within the DoD) • Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing and managing large, complex projects using project life cycle methodologies (Agile, process     improvement, organizational change) • 5-7 years of experience leading project teams in a large matrixed organization

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    The implementation and enforcement of Executive Order 14043 is currently suspended under an injunction pending further litigation.
