    AEYON POSITION TITLE: Consultant I or Senior Consultant I

    LOCATION: Remote, but employee must travel to the Pentagon when required. Plan every second week.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    SAF/AQXS requires an ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE ANALYST to support the documentation of business information systems using DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF®) artifacts, procedures, and principles. A successful candidate will be able learn and work with multiple teams to discover and document Client systems and their integration into the enterprise architecture:

    Work with enterprise system architects and coordinate business enterprise architecture to:

    • Gather and analyze system data
    • Develop current and future system level architectural artifacts
    • Develop current and future enterprise level architectural artifacts (e.g., SV-1)
    • Help SAF/AQXS interpret, understand, and apply statute and policy to current and future IT system procurements
    • Help implement processes to satisfy the Clinger-Cohen Act compliance in the system architectural designs and system choices

    Support Chief Information Officer (CIO) planning, development, and implementation of project efforts that utilize information technology solutions, principles, standards, and best practices to transform enterprise business processes.

    Support CIO efforts to manage and oversee the enterprise Information Technology (IT) capabilities to quantify, measure, and evaluate IT efforts against strategic goals and objectives.

    Support data consistency monitoring in the AF and DoD systems of record (e.g., ITIPS, eMASS)

    May help develop, establish, and maintain project management standards and procedures.

    Support project stakeholders to manage risks, develop mitigation plans, and a path to green throughout the project.

    Support investment and decision support functions and recommendations for resource allocation to improve alignment with strategies and goals.

    Proactively manage change control and communicate impact in project scope, identify risks/issues, and devising contingency plans.

    Update or develop documentation on processes that are critical to successfully implementing your projects.

    Under general supervision, the employee will be expected to exercise sound and independent judgment and consistently exercise discretion.

    Secretary of the Air Force Acquisition Capabilities Division requires a Business Systems Analyst with Systems Architecture experience. The Business Systems Analyst will support the Secretary of the Air Force Acquisition Capabilities (SAF/AQXS) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and other Air Force acquisition enterprise activities.

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: SECRET REQUIRED

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    MANDATORY: Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited university.

    WAIVABLE/SUBSTITUTABLE: Master's degree in related field is a bonus but not a stated desire

    CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    MANDATORY:  

    • Strong functional knowledge documenting enterprise systems with DoDAF artifacts and integrating them into the larger enterprise architecture.

    WAIVABLE/SUBSTITUTABLE:

    • Industry certification in Enterprise Architecture

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3-7 years of experience managing large IT projects from initiation to closure.
    • 2+ years of experience preferred supporting DoD CIO functions.
    • Active knowledge of DoDAF
    • Strong functional knowledge documenting enterprise systems with DoDAF artifacts and integrating them into the larger enterprise architecture.
    • Air Force IT Acquisition experience

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of experience preferred supporting DoD CIO functions.
    • Strong functional knowledge documenting enterprise systems with TOGAF artifacts and integrating them into the larger enterprise architecture.
    • Experience supporting CIO functions of planning and control of information technology investments, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Departmental operations
    • Industry certification in Enterprise Architecture
