    Job Description

     

    SUMMARY:

    A unique opportunity for a front-end developer with UX/UI experience. This role bridges both disciplines, responsible for gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components plus building the front-end based on the approved designs. To be successful in this role you should have experience in both areas.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
    • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
    • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
    • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
    • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
    • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
    • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
    • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
    • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
    • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
    • Build front end pages and features based on approved wireframes

     

    MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
    • Portfolio of design projects
    • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Sketch and/or Adobe XD)
    • Expert in HTML5/CSS3
    • Experience with SASS, SCSS and/or LESS
    • 2-3 year experience with bootstrap framework
    • Working knowledge with .NET framework (is a plus)
    •  Experience working in Visual Studios 2013 or later (is a plus)
    • 2-3 year experience in JQuery & JavaScript
    • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholder
    • Good time-management skills

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    ·       BA/BS or equivalent working experience.

     

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Work as a member of a team, ability to accept performance critique and make adjustments in a positive manner.  Able to offer critique of business structure, directions and focus and offer suggestions to correct, improve and adjust.
