    Job Description

    Affinity Federal Credit Union is seeking a Content Manager to lead the strategic planning and execution of content ideation and creation across all delivery channels.

    The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of online consumption behaviors, social platforms and strategy, digital media, content marketing, and experience demonstrating these tools to drive traffic, generate leads, and support membership retention and growth.

    The Content Manager’s responsibilities include determining which formats best communicate various types of content, identifying ways to increase brand awareness, conducting keyword research to develop new content ideas, and identifying new ways to reach our audiences.

     

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Lead development of content strategy and editorial planning for paid, earned, and owned content marketing in support of brand and product priorities.
    • Collaborate with key leaders, loan officers, community ambassadors, and other subject matter experts within the organization to develop high quality content that aligns to business goals.
    • Work closely with Head of Financial Wellbeing to create content that resonates with our members and prospective members, improving their financial health.
    • Partner with the AVP of Product Marketing to develop content that builds product awareness, generates leads, and supports our business goals.
    • Drive thought leadership and respond to sales support content requests, whether you are creating it, editing it, or supporting other content needs on the team.
    • Use a variety of analytics tools to monitor content performance and optimize its impact.
    • Create evergreen content plans and editorial calendars to identify SEO opportunities around financial education and seasonality.
    • Develop and execute full-funnel content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets including email marketing, SEO strategies, website optimization, paid-media messaging, and social media.

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
    • 8+ years of B2B, SMB or B2C marketing experience with a focus on digital and content marketing.
    • Fundamental understanding of technical SEO optimizations and how to deploy optimized content.
    • Strong understanding of keyword optimization and how search trends play an intricate role in driving content creation.
    • Project management skills to organize, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines through process improvements and communication practices.
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a deep-rooted understanding of what it takes to engage readers with compelling content.
    • Experience writing and editing product marketing content and sales enablement materials.
    • Comfortable using data analytics to measure and continually improve the impact of content on lead generation, thought leadership, and sales enablement.
    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
