    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Maintenance helps maintain and clean the grounds, facilities, and amenities of the Condominium or Homeowners Association (HOA) and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager. In this position they must have a strong understanding of building and home maintenance coupled with attention to detail. In order for this candidate to be successful, he/she must be highly self-motivated and directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous growth and improvement. This is a position that must be able to interact with a diverse team and respond quickly to requests from community associations.

    Maintenance responsibilities in cleaning of all common areas within the community that may include both indoor and outdoor areas.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partners with the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Association Manager and reviews work in all areas needed for the property with any physical assets, issues or corrections needed. 

    • Maintains working relationships with community staff, 

    • Utilizes and maintains equipment in a proper, safe and effective manner.

    • Painting or touch up of all common areas as needed.

    • Properly performs casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by the supervisor. (Might have to lift up to 50lbs).

    • Basic working knowledge of HVAC, efficient in knowing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other minor community/building repairs as long as a permit is not required to complete the job. At times might require crawling in small and tight spaces. Walk and climb stairs. 

    • Needs to be able to work in different environmental conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain). 

    • Maintains records and other maintenance reports as directed by the supervisor.

    • Reports needed major repairs to the Community Association Manager Maintenance Supervisor.

    • Pressure washes decks, sidewalks, entrances, and A/C and heat pump pads as necessary to maintain neat appearance.

    • Maintain any applicable recreational amenities (i.e. Basketball courts, bocce court, tennis courts).

    • Ensures all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing duties in compliance with OSHA guidelines and requirements.

    • May be assigned other duties by Community Association Manager.

    • Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends based on project requirement.

    • Must be able to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings are required to meet the job functions

    • Cleaning several areas and maintain grounds

     

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES REQUIRED: 

    Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:

    High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred. 

    Position might be required to Drive if necessary (may be required to possess a valid Florida Driver’s License). 

    HOURS:

    Full-Time

    Monday- Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    Pay Rate: $16-17depends on experience 

    LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

    Bilingual is desirable but not a must 

    EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

    Requires a minimum of (2-3) year’s general experience in building, repair, and maintenance or handy work. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. Is able work with a computer hardware/software is preferred, but not required.
