  • Responsibilities

    THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.

     

    The Chief Engineer assists and acts for the Project Manager in accomplishing tasks and duties in the performance and responsibilities required by the contract and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Performs the work of all trades required by the contract as directed by the Project Manager.
    • Plans, schedules and assigns activities of personnel engaged in the maintenance and repair of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, structural, and non-structural systems of all buildings.
    • Inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
    • Responds to After Hours Emergencies as needed to include Snow Removal Coordination and Oversight.

     

    NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES

     

    • Other work related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

     

    EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

     

    • Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in the Commercial Facilities/ Operation and Maintenance Arena.
    • An Engineering License recognized by the state of Massachusetts is required.
    • Maximo CMMS Experience is preferred.
    • Microsoft Computer Proficient (Office, Word, Outlook etc.)

     

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

     

    • Thorough knowledge of the operation, maintenance and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, structural and non-structural systems of all buildings.
